but for the last three weeks i’ve watched my closest, black, slang speaking, swag walking, twerking, turn-the-fuck-up-ing friends and peers snatch up bas, masters, doctorates, jds, mds and the like from columbia, nyu, carnegie mellon, howard, harvard, usc, ucla, unc, stanford, northwestern, etc.
